Email Clients
How do I configure my email client settings?
Use these settings as a baseline for most mail clients. Your provider may offer different hostnames and ports.
Incoming mail
- Prefer IMAP if you use multiple devices.
- Use POP3 if you want mail downloaded locally and optionally removed from the server.
Outgoing mail (SMTP)
- Use SMTP with STARTTLS or TLS when available.
- Outgoing SMTP requires authentication. Use the same username and password as your incoming mail settings unless your service specifies otherwise.
- If port 25 is blocked, try 587 or 2525 (or other alternate ports offered by your service).
